Looking after our local communities
We’re passionate about providing community support to causes that align with our business and our team. As an IT business owned and operated in Australia with locals on the ground, at the other end of the phone and providing our services, we’re big on looking after the communities we operate within.
Our approach to supporting our community is twofold: we provide resources and funding to charities making an impact, and our team also love to be involved in hands-on experiences to give back to those in need.
We care, and that value shines through not only the way we work with our clients, but the things we do beyond the everyday.

Our Charity Partners
We work with a selection of charity partners whose values and mission align with our own and that are servicing the communities in which we operate.
Mark Hughes Foundation shares our home base in Newcastle and is an important charity with the mission to raise funds for research, to create awareness and support brain cancer patients and their families. We provide our IT services at charity rates to the team so they can continue to focus on their important work for brain cancer patients and their families.
Jenny’s Place provides direct relief and support to women and children who are experiencing domestic violence and/or homelessness (or who are at risk of homelessness). Every Christmas, we set up a Christmas tree in our Newcastle office under which staff place donated gifts to go towards the children helped through Jenny’s Place. As a company, we also donate gift cards to the women staying at the house as well as make general donations towards the cause.
Hunter Life Education empowers children and young people to make safer and healthier choices through education. As part of the commitment we have to the organisation, our team members often commit to Octsober to raise funds for the cause. We’ve also supported some of their important programs, including Healthy Harold.
Strategic Group was amongst a number of local businesses who provided financial support to ensure the women competing at the Newcastle Surfest Women’s Pro event had the opportunity to receive the same prize money as the men’s. We have been a part of the crowdfunding campaign since it was first established in 2015 and are proud to be amongst those helping to make this event a word-class opportunity for women in sport.
Rotary Club of Newcastle is a network of neighbours, friends, leaders and problem-solvers who have united to take action to create lasting change in the Newcastle community. We’ve provided IT support and made donations to support the impact they are making on our local community.
Ronald McDonald House Northern NSW provides a vital service to families in the Newcastle and wider Hunter community with a seriously ill or injured child. In addition to providing our IT services to the organisation, we offer our training room facilities to their team and put our hand up to be involved in fundraising activities they hold throughout the year. Our team has had the opportunity to cook for families staying in their property through the Meals from the Heart program, we support the organisation’s annual #12DaysRMHChristmas campaign and we’re sponsoring their Raise Love Ball in 2021.

One of our core reasons for doing what we do is to give back to our community through our charity partners. We want to help and support those who are doing so much to make the world a better place.
Community support for individuals in the community
Beyond helping organisations in need, we also try to lend our support to individuals who could benefit from our assistance and who have an affiliation with our team.
One of these is Dr Matt Dun located in Newcastle. Matt lost his daughter to a rare childhood brain cancer called DIPG. With no treatment options currently available, except palliative radiotherapy, Matt is advocating for the timely and innovative development of anti-DIPG/DMG therapies.
We have committed $100,000 over the next four years to go towards more researchers to assist Matt in providing a better future for those families affected by DIPG.
